Tapestry "Jerusalem Delivered"
Piece of tapestry in wool and silk depicting a scene inspired by Tasso's epic novel "Jerusalem Delivered" (1580). Rinaldo and Armida: Charles and Ubaldo at the fountain of laughter. At right, a fountain with cherubin. Second half of the 17th century, manufacturing of Boulevard St Marcel (before the Gobelins). See Item identical Mobilier National. Long: 2,75 m Height: 2.34 m. Probably the workshop of Raphael's board.
