Sketch of the Marquise de Menard (old Marquise de Marigny) mistress of Cardinal de Rohan (affair of the necklace) circa 1785-90. Lépicier work’s is accomplished in Washington Museum. (the person represented in Vestal is a mistress recognized but not princely).
